Poor air quality is a major health issue, costing National economies in annual GDP and individuals many productive years of their lives.  Inside air is 50% to 80% as harmful as outside air.  Most exposure to the deadly pollution occurs indoors.  The patent pending Evans Pure Air CASTLETM (EPAC) will offers  a highly cost-effective, stylish and technology-laden escape from the air pollution for eight to ten hours every day.  Initial interest has been from parents with children 0 to 6 years old in urban areas.  These children are particularly vulnerable as brain and lung development through age 6 is significantly impacted by (poor) air quality.  A lifetime of poor learning ability coupled with very negative health impacts is the result. The positive health benefit of reduced dose and duration exposure to toxic elements in surrounding air, while sleeping, is significant.  The market has demanded a technology and entertainment rich environment inside the EPAC.

The newly invented and designed EPAC is an in-home appliance. The EPAC combines a “tent” (CASTLE) for enclosure of the sleeper’s bed in the fashion of a “canopy bed” with special décor, technology and entertainment options and a miniaturized room air purifier attached to the CASTLE directing pure air inside.

What differentiates the EPAC is the fact the appliance will need to purify only 25% as many cubic feet of air as a traditional room air purifier. As a result, the EPAC can offer the following benefits:

  • Purer air around the sleeper (higher quality results)
  • Lower cost of the EPAC base unit vs. a room air purifier
  • Much quieter operation in the bedroom
  • Substantially longer filter life and lower operating cost (estimated at 4x for each)
  • Creation of a platform for additional stylish décor coupled with exciting technology options.
